Elham Motamedi Successfully Defends Doctoral Thesis on Personalized Recommender Systems

Celebrations are set as Elham successfully defends her PhD dissertation.

We are delighted to announce the successful defense of Elham Motamedi Mohammadabi’s doctoral thesis, titled “User and Item Modelling Using Eudaimonic and Hedonic Characteristics for Personalized Recommender Systems.” This momentous occasion marks a significant milestone in Elham’s academic journey within the doctoral study program in Computer Science at UP FAMNIT.

Under the mentorship of Assoc. Prof. Marko Tkalčič, PhD, and co-mentorship of Assoc. Prof. Mehdi Elahi, PhD, Elham has exhibited remarkable dedication, expertise, and innovation in the realm of personalized recommender systems. Her research efforts have contributed immensely to the advancement of user and item modeling methodologies, incorporating both eudaimonic and hedonic characteristics to enhance recommender systems.
