Prototypes of PPE masks made with 3D printing technology

Researchers from the Laboratory for Human-Computer Interaction – HICUP Lab together with researchers from InnoRenew CoE and the iniciative Zaščitimo Slovenijo made a prototype of protective masks, which are currently being tested in a real environment at the General Hospital Izola. The masks are printed with 3D technology, and the purchase of printers was recently made possible by the InnoRenew CoE project.

With this, the University of Primorska joined the Protect Slovenia initiative and, in cooperation with the team of anesthesiologists from the Izola General Hospital and the Technology Park Ljubljana, took care of transferring the results of successful cooperation between science and business to the wider society.
