HICUP Research on Music and Age Featured in International Press

A recent study by HICUP Lab members Matej Golubovikj and Marko Tkalčič, conducted in collaboration with Alan Said from the University of Gothenburg and Bruce Ferwerda from Jönköping University, has received international media attention.

The research explored how age influences music listening behavior, using data collected over 15 years from more than 40,000 users. The dataset included over 542 million plays of more than 1 million songs.

The resulting article, titled Soundtracks of Our Lives: How Age Influences Musical Preferences, was featured on international news sites, science and research news platforms, and radio channels with wide audiences. You can find the news here:
