Celebrating a Milestone: Maheshya Weerasinghe Successfully Defends PhD Thesis in Extended Reality Learning
On November 2, 2023, an important academic milestone was achieved as Maheshya Weerasinghe, the first PhD student of Hicup Lab, defended her thesis titled “Adaptive Guidance in Extended Reality Learning Environments.” This pivotal moment, conducted online from Koper, Slovenia, and Glasgow, Scotland, marks a significant accomplishment in Maheshya’s academic journey.
A student in the Joint PhD in Computer Science program offered by the University of Primorska in Koper, Slovenia, and the University of St Andrews in Scotland, Maheshya’s defense, while conducted remotely, was a culmination of relentless dedication and the support of her supervisors, Matjaž Kljun, Alice Toniolo, Aaron Quigley, Angela Miguel, and Klen Čopič Pucihar.
