Hirokazu Kato is Full Professor at Nara Institute of Science and Technology, Japan and a director of Interactive Media Design Lab(IMD). He is currently visiting UP FAMNIT and HICUP Lab. As part of his visit Kato gave an inspiring talk “What is the next stage of AR“ encouraging students to think differently, pursue non popular research topics, work on small steps whilst trying to keep the big ambitious goal in sight.
We spent there very exciting days with Kato that included debate about exciting research Nicko and Title from Interactive Media Design Lab are doing within 3 month internship @HICUP Lab and interesting work home students Maheshya and Cuauthli and postdoc Julie are pursuing here at HICUP Lab.
We are all excited about what we can do together :). If everyone exchanged ideas and knew how to collaborate like academics, the world would be a far far more exciting place!
