Artificial Intelligence (AI) is becoming common in the education system. This is why, as part of a project to train teaching staff, the Science Lyceum of Trento France Prešeren recently organized a lecture for teachers on the opportunities and dangers of AI. The event took place on 26th February 2025.
The guests of the event were Mitja Jermol (UNESCO Chair on Open Technologies for Open Educational Resources and Open Education at the Jožef Stefan Institute in Ljubljana) and Matjaž Kljun from the HICUP lab.

The discussion was about AI as a tool based on advanced statistics, the importance of introducing computational thinking in schools for children to understand technology, its capabilities, limitations, and dangers. AI will become more and more widespread in the future, and Europe can play an important role here.
