On Thursday, June 26, 2025, as part of the Alumni Club of the University of Primorska, two current PhD students from the HICUP Lab, Arsen Matej Golubvikj and Karolina Trajkovska, shared their academic journeys at UP FAMNIT. The event was organized in connection with the European Researchers’ Night, an initiative supported by the European Union to promote science and encourage interest in research among young people.

Arsen and Karolina are both international students who began their studies in the Bachelor’s program in Computer Science at FAMNIT. They later continued with the Master’s program, and are now working as PhD students and teaching assistants at the faculty.

During the discussion, they spoke about how they started studying in Slovenia, the support they received from faculty members, and how they selected topics for their theses. They also explained how they became involved in research projects at the HICUP Lab and how this experience helped them to develop their skills and knowledge in the field.

The event provided useful insights for students interested in pursuing research and staying connected with the alumni community.
