Hicup Lab is pleased to welcome Alessio Ferrato, a visiting PhD student from Roma TRE University, Italy. Alessio is in his final year, focusing on a recommender system for custom museum visits that leverages deep learning to analyze visitor behavior. His research interests include affective computing and artificial intelligence.

Recently, Alessio delivered a talk on his research at the Monday seminar at FAMNIT. The presentation was titled ‘Integrating Indoor Positioning, Personalization, and Recommendation to Enhance Museum Visitor Experiences.’ His supervisor, Prof. Giuseppe Sansonetti from Roma TRE University, also joined as a guest.


During his visit, Alessio is working under Marko Tkalcic, contributing his expertise in personalized recommendation systems and behavioral analysis in the context of AI and user experience.
