The ACM Conference on Recommender Systems (RecSys) is the premier international forum for the presentation of new research results, systems and techniques in the broad field of recommender systems. In addition, <strong>Arsen Matej Golubovikj<\/strong> was acknowledged as an <strong>outstanding reviewer<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Arsen Matej Golubovikj, Osnat Mokryn (University of Haifa) and Marko Tkal\u010di\u010d<br><br>Intended Movie Experience: Linking Elicited Emotions to Eudaimonic and Hedonic Characteristics<br><br>@IntRS Workshop (<a href=\"https:\/\/intrs2024.wordpress.com\/\">https:\/\/intrs2024.wordpress.com\/<\/a>)<br><br>This study investigates the relationship between movies&#8217; elicited emotions and their eudaimonic (meaningful) and hedonic (pleasurable) characteristics, offering new insights into how emotional responses to films align with users&#8217; emotional orientations. The research is important for advancing the development of personalized recommender systems that can better cater to users&#8217; emotional needs and desired experiences.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Uro\u0161 Serga\u0161, Bruce Ferwerda (J\u00f6nk\u00f6ping University) and Marko Tkal\u010di\u010d,<br><br>News Recommender System for Political Depolarization,<br><br>@RecSoGood Workshop (<a href=\"https:\/\/recsogood.github.io\/recsogood24\/papers.html\">https:\/\/recsogood.github.io\/recsogood24\/papers.html<\/a>)<br><br>This research aims to develop a news recommender system designed to reduce political polarization by gradually presenting diverse viewpoints within the Overton window, fostering critical thinking without attempting to persuade users to change their beliefs.
