{"id":1839,"date":"2024-07-01T20:51:00","date_gmt":"2024-07-01T20:51:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/hicup.famnit.upr.si\/?p=1839"},"modified":"2024-11-14T21:22:26","modified_gmt":"2024-11-14T21:22:26","slug":"hicup-lab-acm-eics","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hicup.famnit.upr.si\/index.php\/2024\/07\/01\/hicup-lab-acm-eics\/","title":{"rendered":"HICUP Lab @ ACM EICS"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><b style=\"font-weight:normal;\" id=\"docs-internal-guid-d52c1453-7fff-77ed-7ea3-c3cfe5522e4e\"><p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"line-height:1.38;margin-top:0pt;margin-bottom:0pt;\"><span style=\"font-size:11pt;font-family:Arial,sans-serif;color:#000000;background-color:transparent;font-weight:400;font-style:normal;font-variant:normal;text-decoration:none;vertical-align:baseline;white-space:pre;white-space:pre-wrap;\"><\/span><\/p><\/b><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Engineering Interactive Computing Systems (EICS) is an international conference devoted to all aspects of engineering usable and effective interactive computing systems, ranging from traditional workstation-based interactive systems to those involving new and emerging modalities (e.g., gesture), applications (e.g., mobile and ubiquitous games) and development methods (e.g., extreme programming).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Besides organising &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/hicup.famnit.upr.si\/index.php\/2024\/06\/27\/radar-based-human-computer-interaction-workshop-acm-eics\/\">Beyond Radar Waves: The First Workshop on Radar-Based Interaction<\/a>&#8221; (<a href=\"https:\/\/dl.acm.org\/doi\/10.1145\/3660515.3662836\">ACM<\/a>) and having two papers published there titled: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.radarwaves.upr.si\/program\/#talk4\">Comparative Testing of Radar Signal Representations when Sensing Though Materials<\/a>;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.radarwaves.upr.si\/program\/#talk\">DiSiPro: Digital Signal Processing Tool for Radar-Based Human-Computer Interaction<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>researhers from HICUP Lab presented two more papers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Karolina Trajkovska presented her work at the <a href=\"https:\/\/dl.acm.org\/doi\/10.1145\/3660515.3662837\">Second Workshop on Engineering Interactive Systems Embedding AI Technologies<\/a>. Her demo, Gaze2AOI: Open Source Deep-learning Based System for Automatic Area of Interest Annotation with Eye Tracking Data, introduces a novel tool that annotates video streams with areas of interest, integrating eye-tracking data to measure user behaviour.
